Since the launching of the online salary survey in Slovakia in 2007, we have been constantly improving the collecting data methodology. About 70% filled-in questionnaires from real users get into the cleansed database, so that we are able to eliminate duplicity or extremes.
Since 2018 we have been calculating the amount of salaries with the help of quantile regression that takes into account connections between positions, regions, sizes of companies, education, work experience and age. The Brno city data portal, data.brno.cz. has been launched on March 21, 2018. It has been used by increasing numbers of people - after a year and a half, it has 50.000 unique users. On this portal, we have been collecting and publishing not only basic data on Brno: Through interactive, long-term statistics and applications, we have been addressing professionals, students and IT developers working on machine-processed data sets. Thanks to the data supplied by the Profesia CZ, spol. s r.o. company, who operates the platy.cz portal, we have been able to give our users more detailed information about the development of salaries than that available from official statistics, thus broadening our data portfolio with further useful pointers.

After positive changes in the Banska Bystrica self-governing region, we found it necessary to compare the salary levels of the employees of our institution with the labour market at large. I appreciate the significant contribution of the analyses of the Platy.sk portal in this matter.
We have used the Platy.cz salary monitor several times, mainly for internal purposes. Unlike with other salary surveys, we have been using Platy.cz especially for its flexibility (we get the result relatively quickly). The survey participants come from job seekers or employees, who are not motivated to supply inaccurate data, we therefore perceive the data as quite valid.
